A Change of Direction

A Change of Direction

I had something else planned for this week.
A post almost completely written.
I’d be disobedient if I posted it though.
I’ve had this song in my mind NON-STOP FOR DAYS.
I wake up singing it.
I realize I’m singing it while I’m on the toilet.
While I’m checking out books.
Sweeping the floor.
I call it a “holy earworm.”
I’ve attached the video for you below.  I pray it ministers to you like it does to me.
Every.  Time.
Our eyes see the news headlines.
The news feeds.
Feeding our hearts and minds with despair, hopelessness, fear and doubt.
This is where He is.
Calling life to dry bones.
Just like He did in Ezekiel 37.
In this account Ezekiel is taken out into a valley where he is surrounded by bones.
Here the Lord told him to speak to the bones.
The bones started coming together.  Started to take shape.
Then the Lord told him to speak to the breath so the newly formed bodies can live.
Friends we must speak to our situations.
Job loss.
A child rebelling.
Struggles in relationships.
Fears you have.
Anxiety that plagues you.
Speak to them.
Do you realize that the universe was a soup of black nothingness until God spoke to it to take shape?
There is power in our voice!
The news and affair of our culture do not have power over us.
So, whatever “dry bone” you have in your life, the thing you think is long gone, the Lord is telling us to take our authority, take initiative and take back what the enemy has stolen from us.
Be encouraged.
God is in the resurrecting business.
