Reflection Friday

Reflection Friday

I’ll just cut to the chase…
You all have wrecked me this week.
Jesus has wrecked me this week.
On Sunday as I anxiously wrote out Monday’s post, I went to bed with sore fingertips.  Not from typing, but from nervously chewing my nails.  This week felt heavy to me and all week insecurity made me second guess my decision to write about being lonely.  My “deep dark” is a place God has solidly delivered me from and it’s a place I never want to revisit.  It’s a place I feel determined to rescue other women from.
Before I hit “publish,” I put my head in my hands and pray for you all.  I prayed that this post spoke to just one of you.
You guys.
I heard so many “me too’s.”
People are hurting all around us.
Precious daughters of God whose hearts are breaking on different levels for different reasons.
And a precious Creator whose heart is broken because of our hurt and because He is the Healer and we are not taking hold of that healing.

Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

What spoke to you most this week?
Do you have any prayer requests?
Thank you all so much for taking this journey with me.
Even hard days are sweet because we are doing this together.

I’m a book-shelving, former tap dancer, wanna be writer, singer, and banjo player, mother of 4, wife of 1, follower of Christ, walking in the shadow of the Proverbs 31 woman and redeemed by the grace and love of an Almighty God… just living the dream.
