I cannot thank each one of you amazing ladies for walking alongside me this summer.
Whether you were very vocal each day or if you hung out on the sidelines…you are precious to me.
And even more so to our Father.
Something I’d like to reflect on is a prayer I wrote out to God when I first decided to go for this.
Two months ago I was full of self-doubt and afraid that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the commitment.
That was my problem…
I couldn’t do it.
But God is so good you guys.
And He is faithful.
And this has never been about me…but about Him.
Ironically, the journal I wrote that prayer in is called, “Say Yes to God.”
He’s funny too. 🙂
Can I share some of my entry with you?
Well, I said yes. And now I’m scared to death. I’ve always wanted to do a devotional type book. I was told at She Speaks (a writing conference) that ‘those kind of books aren’t really needed.’ Yet they are published all the time. I put it out there for a blog post as a Summer Bible Study and at first 12 women signed up. Then I posted a new post giving more details and over 100 women have responded. :-O. What have I done?! What if these ladies get into it and realize that I’m terrible and suck and have no idea what I’m talking about?!
God. Please speak to me. Give me wisdom. Let me hear what you’d have me speak to these ladies. Share with me where they need to be loved on the most. Let this space be the beginning of something amazing and life changing.
These are your daughters.
These are your babies.
Let them feel your presence.
You all, I’m nothing without the grace and mercy of Christ.
Yet I’m hopeful in a scripture that has been my cornerstone this year:
The Lord is faithful…surely He will do it.
What is your “it”?
As we close out our Summer Bible Study, I want to post a final song that is a declaration of promise that the Lord sings over you.
Through every battle
In every fight
Through every fire in the darkest of night.
I’ll be there.
Don’t EVER question the love the Father has for you.
He adores you.
And so do I.
I’m a book-shelving, former tap dancer, wanna be writer, singer,

and redeemed by the grace and love of an Almighty God…
just living the dream.
