Do you have people in your life who come in to your life at just the right time?
This is the case for this week’s Wonder Woman Wednesday.
Actually two people. Both of these ladies were in my life at one point.
We, at the time were in different seasons, which made a relationship with either one of them not probable.
I longed for friendship with both of them but it just wasn’t the time.
But God…He’s the God of second chances and this friendship is exactly that.
This week’s Wonder Woman Wednesday goes to Tara Mauk and Erin Gullett!
These two beauties are my best friends.
They are special to me for different reasons and they both are proof that God can give second chances.
I love them so much.
Tara is an incredible mother to 3 amazing kids who are so cool.
They all three love Jesus so much. What a legacy!
She is another one of my “moms of hope.”
We talk each other off of ledges weekly.
In some ways we are just alike. We are both loud and like to have a good time.
In some ways we are opposites. She loves to yard sale and shop….kill me.
I’ve never met anyone as thrifty. She’s one of those people who can go into a store and through coupons and sales, be the person who pays like $1.25 for a $90 Ralph Lauren sweater.
She loves Jesus so much and I love her love of worship.
She has so much wisdom because she’s lived it.
She lives God’s grace and mercy.
And she gives it freely.
Erin is another “mom of hope” of mine.
She gives me hope that my children WILL live to see adulthood and not die in the throws of teenage-dom. 🙂
She too is raising amazing and talented kids who are doing serious damage to the enemy’s camp.
I look at Erin’s family and I see a living example of God’s unconditional love, grace and forgiveness.
I am so thankful for this family.
Erin has a quiet grace and strength about her that I am envious of.
Even through pain, adversity, loss and struggle she has proven that her hope can be built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness.
I often wonder, would I be that strong in the deep and dirty of life?
She is an amazing teacher…it’s in her blood! She loves her kids at school so much and she gives them her all.
Her servant’s heart is so big.
These ladies are so beautiful, inside and out. They are two humans that I can be my total and complete self with and not be fearful of them judging me.
They are real.
With them both, what you see is what you get.
They living this life with me and my family and I tell you, we are better for them.
Girls, you both give SO much of yourselves.
Sometimes it goes unnoticed by those around you.
But I see how wonderful you are.
Even with your struggles and even with your flaws, God sees you both and He is so in love with you.
He sees how genuine your love for Him and His people are and He is so grateful for the work you are doing for Him and those He loves.
I see you and I’m so thankful that God gave our friendships a second chance.
